i was a total klutz during the stupid chem prac. urgh. oh, and once again, i screwed up the stupid QA.
VA was okay, i guess, just a little clumsy. i din read the qn carefully, i skipped the part on adding H2SO4. so i spent 5mins trying to fig out why my solution was yellow, not reddish brown.
when i was titrating, the burette was too high, so lazy me lowered the burette w/o removing the flask at the bottom. then, the flask of MIO3, H2SO4, KI spilled on my pinafore, my legs and the wound on my knee (imagine the pain i was in when iodine went into the wound). then, i swore quite loudly in the lab. whoops.
i dun think M is silicon, i think it's aluminium. *frowns*
QA was bad. very bad. very very bad. extremely bad. had some really funny change in colour for ppts.
then i forgot to pull the cap out for NaOH, and the cap dropped in the copper solution. (I had to pour away and redo!).
i knew oxygen will be given out when hydrogen peroxide is added. but i din write down as my glowing splint DID NOT rekindle. dammit, so much for honesty.
i forgot a very familiar phrase known as, "NO VISIBLE CHANGE." (10 out of 19marks gone).
at least, i got identification of anion (sulphate) correct.
throughout the whole prac, i was just swearing non-stop (quietly of course). grrr.
okay, if i got 18 for VA and 8 for QA. i'll get a 65% for prac. shoots, this is really bad news.
