went hcjc open hse. had a great laugh abt HMMM. (nvm. inside joke). heard frm shunman cutoff is abt 9 for science for pae. 9?!?! okie, now i'm so tempted to put it in one of the choices.
oh, did i ever mention aft going to so many open hses, wl and i are so tempted to join band. haha, she'll play the electric guitar, i'll play the drums. haha, need to find a lead singer who can sing better than the 'Hotel California' guy frm njc. haha.
then, went for major shopping with mum. and shockingly, i bought skirts. and pink blouse. and HEELS. haha. yeah, i'm quite amazed by the items i bought. i'm ditching my jeans, tees and sneakers (only tml) just because of my sis.
i can't help but to think i'm quite a nice sister. haha.
oh, heard so much abt the merger (not the one in the hist tb). let me bring in a little geography metaphor.
with greater influx of pple, human resource will expand. this leads to diversification, but there will not be much specialisation to speak of. i am not sure if the increase in facilities and funding will be proportionate to the sudden increase in 'population'. this leads more limitations than those faced in current situation.
since the only competitions will be com-based (do you have any book-shelving competitions?), most cca-points-orientated pple --no matter how strict interviews are, there bound to be a few infiltrating in-- will surge into these competitions. this creates a major problem of lack in quality as it is being replaced by quantity instead.
the clubs merging are pretty much known as "inactive clubs". while there is increase in numbers, there isn't much increase in the competitions available. so wldn't merger bring abt more inactivity?
ok, tt's just my thoughts. maybe there are some improvements and details tt i dun know of, so what i said is just based on myself, and may not be entirely true.
need to add the last para, else some teachers come and sue me then i die. haha.
a little trivia abt the future IT/MRL club. aft the merger, it'll be made up of 5 clubs : the now-defunct chinese com club, com club and chinese creative writing (they formed mits), library and ava. haha, try finding another club with over 100 members in it.
