back frm sydney last night. yeps, good thing the temp there din really hit 30-plus deg.
it was a grp tour and there's so many teachers in the grp. 3 teachers and 1 future teacher (NIE-training). haha.
and it so happens tt the future teacher is becky wong's church-mate. and it so happens tt she looks like ashley and tt she was in TJC mm. ehh, ok.. not much link.
DAY 1:
reached sydney airport in the morning. had zero slp on the plane (too cramped!!). went to opera hse and harbour bridge. dinner at chinatown. had sgp-style fried noodle. ehh, when did we have curry powder in the fried noodle?
anyway, walked to the town area. visited queen victoria building (QVB). the building is very victorian style kind. really nice.
went supermarket for shopping. everything is super expensive. except for xmas cards. haha.
DAY 2:
visited sydney fish market. it's very dry and not at all fishy. instead of all those wayang music audible in sgp's wet mkt, they actually played maroon5's "sunday morning" (even if it wasn't sunday). cool.
then, it was a 2hr ride to blue mts. scenery at blue mts is nice. just tt there's A LOT of flies. there was the giant stairways leading to the 3Sisters. (3 protuding rocks frm the weathered ridges). it was freaking steep; angle of elevation was much more than 45deg. my knees went soft when i looked down. ekks.
then, it was shopping time. nothing to shop actually cos everything is ex. even at factory outlets. and the conversion rate made things even more expensive to buy.
DAY 3:
rainy day. bad timing cos it was the outdoor day.
3hr drive to port stephens. had a dolphin watch cruise. saw some dolphins despite the continuous rain. i was out in the rain for 1 over hr. brr, cold.
then went for 4 wheel-drive in this large area of dune and did sand boarding. in the rain. the dune is nxt to the tasman sea so the rain was well, a little more heavy. the sand boarding was very very fun. it's basically riding down a steep sand slope on a board. oh, the 4WD was somewhat similar to a mini roller coaster. exhilarating.
DAY 4:
went bondi beach in the morning. well, it's just a beach. and i was pretty much pissing mum off by ranting abt bays and headlands, destructive waves, wave refraction, blah blah. whoops.
the water was freezing cold. (it is pacific ocean, mind you.)
then proceeded to wildlife park. see animals loh.
went to the olympic village. nothing much to see actually. just to see how under-utilised all the stadiums are after 2000.
then it was shopping again. and again, nothing much to shop.
DAY 5:
went paddy's mkt in the morning. it's a wkend mkt, selling things tt can be found in a pasar malam.
took monorail to darling harbour. see ships and boats. haha
but there's a shopping centre there tt sells really cheap stuff. ARGHHHHH! no time to buy cos we had a plane to catch in the afternoon. *slams head on wall* urgh.
watching a lot of movies on plane. home on range, hero, bride and prejudice and cinderella story. hero has a really un-understandable plot (maybe cos i fell asleep while watching)
yup, reached changi last night and we had a lost baggage. it was a box of nougats and macademia nuts. haha. somehow, the box was still lying in sydney airport.

note i din say much abt food. cos it was either fish and chips or seafood basket or chinese food. and the chinese food just dun suit my tastebuds.
aft 5days in sydney, my dad was tanned. my mum was sun-burnt. and i'm the same as before. wah liao, i'm not tanned!!! :(
