my my, indonesia is buzzing with seismic activities recently. 2004 mega-earthquake, then merapi playing a "now u see hot clouds, now u don't", then 6.sth earthquake at yogyakarta and 5.6 earthquake in papau province.
it's scary to see all those scenes on news and realise that the country being hit by all these is your neighbouring country.
singapore is one lucky island, free from all the natural disasters and political turmoils faced by the countries around us.
comparing the so-called crap that i am going through with the sufferings of the innocent in indonesia or timor leste, i feel ashamed. i whine and complain about small gritty stuff. they have to endure violence and the wrath of mother nature with resilience; suffer the pain of losing their property, families, friends.
i feel like a spoilt kid living in my own comfort zone and not observing what's happening around.
maybe at some point of time, everyone acts like a spoilt kid.
