now i'm enjoying the last year of my teens. the last year that i can act recklessly and blame it on "teenage years". but not as if i've acted very recklessly. :/
my birthday celebrations lasted throughout the weekend; gorging myself with comfort food. tons of it. that's why i'm starting my daily 1000 skips, 100 crunches exercise regime again.
anyway, i went for ndp rehearsal with wanz last sat. it was okay, i guess. not much expectations since it was just a rehearsal. but the pre-parade segment was funny. everyone's reading from script. it was a little anti-climatic when daniel ong asked all of us to wave our clappers when we dun have the goodie bags. then some familiar local songs (eg chan mali chan) were slaughtered. well, all i can say is such songs definitely dun go well with hip hop and rapping. wanz and i had no clue what songs were they singing sometimes. i dun think it's a sign that we dun know our national day songs well. (or maybe we really dun. hmm)
the parade and march past was exciting (hmm). but MPs did not start throwing their rifles around this year, surprising change. oh, and the ndp parade commander made a grammatical error in his video that wanz and i corrected at the same time. i wonder did anyone, other than both of us, notice the error?
then there was the defence display, which was pretty cool. the commentary sounds a bit like those infomercials on tv though.
the best part would be the 4.5min of fireworks display at the end. it was fantastic, really nice.
yea, it was pretty good and the good thing is that since there's less people at marina bay than at national stadium, going home is much faster. no more being trapped, pushed, shoved around in the national stadium for 2hours.
