recess is coming to an end. shoots!
need to "pitch" for adverts acc. when school reopens. and not just one. but TWO. too bad my fellow stinky mices are not in the same tut group as me for speech. or we can just repeat our pitch. haha, whoops.
i'm getting quite irritated now cos i hear "bao bei dui bu qi" by Grasshoppers. gosh, that long long time ago song which one of my fellow mice "serenades" to me all the time (and i'll reciprocrate by either swaying my arms along with the music or rolling my eyes, depending on mood)
i just don't get it. It's a children's day block party, i think. so the target shld be kids. why have some getai-like thing, with KIDS singing dialect songs and old songs like "bao bei dui bu qi"? i dun even think the kids who are singing really know those songs. seriously, songs like "bao bei dui bu qi" belongs to my sis' era (and probably my era too). not kids born in the late 90s. i think those songs are just meant to entertain the parents, ah peks and ah mas. the kids looked happy running around with their balloon sculptures.
is the the so-called family bonding that we're supposed to foster? each generation seemingly attend the same event/function to foster bonds and togetherness but they're, strictly speaking, doing different things at the events. pui.
